This was not a good game to watch, with only a handful of chances in the entire 90 minutes.
Veteran 'keeper Stuart York, in for the holidaying Glen Guyatt, made a good save on 33 minutes.
Newark 'keeper Elliot Walters made a good save to deny Tom Endy on 65 minutes.
Newark's Rob Horseman put a free header wide late on, but Ash Ward was happy with a new look back four, in which James 'Fingers' Logan and Tee Ebanks were outstanding . Phil Riley and Connor Hamilton, the full backs also played well and the clean sheet was deserved.
